Revenue body's plea to YSR on new post

HYDERABAD, MAY 16. The Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association today urged the Chief Minister, Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy, to strengthen the village administration set-up by creating the post of Revenue Secretary exclusively under the control of MRO. The Revenue Inspector would discharge vital functions pertaining to the Revenue Department, a delegation of the association informed Dr. Reddy when it called on him here.

The executive committee of the association met in an emergency session and passed resolutions pertaining to the creation of the post of Revenue Secretary, framing of special scales for Revenue Department and freeze on ACB `trap' cases against the department employees. The delegation comprised among others K. Laxmaiah, president, B.S.Varma, associate president, and N. Ananda Rao, general secretary.
