Three persons electrocuted

A mechanic, Mohd. Shami Ahmed (18), was electrocuted on Saturday while welding parts of a bus body at a garage. The victim was a resident of Kishanbagh, the Bahadurpura police said. The mishap occurred when the welding machine's wire came in contact with electricity wires.

A labourer, T. Saidulu (20), was electrocuted on Saturday night while working with a borewell machine at South End Park in L.B. Nagar police station area. A native of Nakirekal village in Nalgonda district, Saidulu suffered shock when the iron pipes he was lifting came in contact with power wires. He died on the spot.

In another case, a fruit vendor, Babu Charan (45), died of burns when snapped electricity wires fell on him outside his Uppariguda house on Saturday night. The victim went up the house as power supply went off. While inspecting power supply, he bent the electricity wires which cracked and fell on him resulting in his instant death, the Malkajgiri police said.

Home guard killed in mishap

A home guard of Charminar traffic police station, Syed Yousufuddin (19), was killed and his friend, Ismail, sustained serious injuries when a lorry hit the motorcycle they were riding from behind near City College on Saturday night. The Charminar police said the victim was a resident of Petlaburz. While Yousufuddin died on the spot, Ismail was shifted to Osmania General Hospital.

Teenager jumps from train, dies

An 18-year-old teenager died on Sunday when he jumped from a running train at Dabeerpura station. The Kachiguda railway police said the victim was waiting for a local train. He mistook Tungabhadra Express for local train and got into it. As the train did not stop at Dabeerpura station, the teenager jumped and came under the wheels of the train.

Labourer dies in wall collapse

A labourer, P. Mogilaiah (70), died on Saturday night when a wall collapsed on him while he was demolishing a house at Rajeevnagar in Chatrinaka police station area. Resident of the same locality, the victim sustained serious injuries and died after a few hours while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital.
