Back Scholarship for IIITM-K librarian

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mr Sainul Abideen, Librarian of the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Kerala (IIITM-K), Thiruvananthapuram, has been awarded the VLIR (Vlaamse Inter Universitaire Raad, or the Flemish Inter University Council Scholarship) sponsored by the Belgium Government.

This would also qualify Mr Abideen for being trained under the International Training Programme on Scientific and Technological Information Management in Universities and Libraries (STIMULATE), which will be held in Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium, during October - December 2004.

Mr Abideen becomes the first Indian to be selected for the STIMULATE programme, an official statement from the IIITM-K said on Tuesday.
