Back Chinese porcelain show Parth Sanyal
One- and a-half-year-old Isaac Sha is on a visit to India along with his parents who are artisans from Jingdezhen in South China's Jiangxi province taking part in a month-long exhibition-cum-sale showcasing some 2000 varieties of original Chinese porcelain in Kolkata. Jingdezhen is popular as the `procelain capital of the world'. The products include vases, paintings, statuettes, crockery, decorative items, lanterns, furniture, aquarium and other object d'art costing from Rs 500 to Rs 5 lakh. Nirvana Pilgrim Society in association with Travellers Express Travel & Allied Services Pvt. Ltd is organising the event to celebrate East India's ancient sea-faring link with the rest of South-East Asian countries. The society will also hold exchange workshops for artisans of both the countries.
