MADURAI, JUNE 11. Security was beefed up at the railway station here following a blast threat from an extremist organisation. The Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police personnel, in a joint operation, frisked baggages this evening. All passengers were made to pass through metal detectors. Threat letters were received at important railway stations. But, train operations were not affected, railway sources said.
