RAJAHMUNDRY, JUNE 30. Kanukolanau Chandra Rao (45) of Sitarampuram village in Rajanagaram mandal committed suicide by consuming pesticide. Reports said the farmer, who had a few acres of dry land, had taken a loan of Rs. 18,000 from the Cooperative Society and Rs. 20,000 from moneylenders. He reportedly took Rs. 50 from his wife to buy poison and died in his fields. He is survived by wife, a daughter and a son. GUNTUR: Pasupuleti Mohan Rao (36) of Beeravullipaya in Rajupalem mandal committed suicide in the early hours of Wednesday by consuming rat poison. ANANTAPUR: Nagi Reddy (65) of Bommalatapalli consumed pesticide on Tuesday in his fields. He had allegedly gone to the fields to wet the standing crop. He was brought to the General Hospital here, where he succumbed this morning.
