Aziz Reddy's associate held

HYDERABAD, JUNE 30. The Hyderabad Task Force (West) officials arrested Rachamalla Srinivas, a close associate of the alleged gangster, Aziz Reddy, at Gudivada in Krishna district, on Tuesday. A foreign made 7.65 mm pistol with five rounds was seized from his possession.

With the arrest of Srinivas, the police have rounded up Aziz Reddy and all his seven associates who had opened fire at the police from a guesthouse in Film Nagar on June 14, the Task Force DCP, Y. Gangadhar, told a press conference on Wednesday.

Investigation revealed that Srinivas had gone to Bangladesh at the behest of Aziz Reddy to establish contact with some locals. However, he returned to Hyderabad after a week, as their plan did not materialise. A resident of Secunderabad, Srinivas had also acted in some Telugu movies.
