Cable TV row takes a turn

By Our Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR, JULY 9. The row over the management of a private cable television network here took a turn on Friday with the old management taking the reins once again with the help of the police. A police picket was also set up at the network office to prevent any untoward incident.

The operators led by A. Masoom Baba, on Friday placed all the records before the Anantapur DSP, Balanarasimha Reddy, to claim that they were majority share holders and thus should manage the network.

After going through the documentary evidence the DSP directed the one-town police to restore the management to Masoom Baba group from B. Gowtham, who had taken over the control earlier this week.

As the Masoom Baba group had already lodged a complaint with the police against Mr. Gowtham that he had forcibly taken over the management, the latter were reportedly making efforts for an anticipatory bail.

The police had registered case against Mr. Gowtham.
