Dell cuts computer prices

NEW DELHI, JULY 14. Dell today slashed computer prices by 6 per cent to pass on to customers the benefit of excise duty elimination on PCs announced in Budget 2004-05.

The government's initiative to bring down excise duty on PCs from 8 per cent to zero will immediately allow the company to pass on significant savings to customers, says a release. — UNI
