A seven-member team, led by tInspector K.N. Jitendranath, seized choppers, daggers, and other weapons used by the accused. The police recovered jewellery worth Rs. 1.5 lakh and 13 car stereos from the gang.

The police nabbed the gangsters in Cubbon Park while they moving about in a suspicious manner. The accused were reportedly involved in 32 criminal cases.

The arrested used to waylay people and rob them of jewellery and take away car stereos. The accused used to rob people near banks after taking them to lonely places and tying their hands and legs. They had looted several shops by breaking open the shutters.

In Tirupati, the accused used to pose as pilgrims and rob people who were walking up the hill. "The criminal acts of the accused depended on the situation.
