Back Award for Anji Reddy

DR K. Anji Reddy, Chairman of Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd, has been selected for `Lifetime Achievement Award' by Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) for his outstanding contribution to the pharmaceuticals industry.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr Rajasekhara Reddy, would present the award to Dr Anji Reddy at the annual awards fete scheduled to be held on July 24 here.

Announcing the winners of 39th annual awards at a press conference here on Thursday, Capt C.K. Veeresh, President of HMA, said Mr R.V.S. Ramakrishna, Managing Director of ITW Signode Ltd, would receive `Manager of the Year' award.

The other winners are: Mr M.K. Patodia (Managing Director of GTN Textiles Ltd) - Entrepreneur of the Year; Mr Kishore K. Thalluri (Director and Chief Executive Officer of Thalluri Exports Pvt Ltd) - Small Scale Entrepreneur of the Year; Mr Sudip Kumar Basu (Export Manager of ITC Ltd - International Business Division) - Young Manager of the Year; Mr Chandrakanth Sharma (HRD General Manager of Singareni Colleries) - Personnel Manager of the Year; and Mr Prahlada, (Director of DRDL) - Member of the Year.

Capt Veeresh said the association would start a board of advisors drawing senior mangers from a variety of fields to study and recommend `Best Practices in Management'.

The report, likely to be christened Version 1, would study and identify best practices in different verticals such as corporate, financial and human resources management.
