BANGALORE, JULY 19. Rajkumar, Kannada filmstar, was admitted to the Wockhardt Hospital and Heart Foundation late on Sunday evening as he complained of chest pain. Hospital authorities said Mr. Rajkumar was shifted from the intensive care unit to a private room on Monday, and he was convalescing. The pain was caused by a cardiac problem, and the doctors at the hospital were investigating its specific cause. Ranganath Nayak, cardiac surgeon, and Ramana Rao, Mr. Rajkumar's family doctor, were attending on him, hospital authorities said. The police have heightened security at the hospital as many fans turned out on the hospital premises, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), S. Parashiva Murthy, told The Hindu .
