Back E.I.D. Parry net at Rs 24.5 crore

E.I.D. Parry (India) Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 24.55 crore on net sales of Rs 153.20 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2004. During the corresponding period in the previous year, the company reported a net profit of Rs 18.50 crore on net sales of Rs 132.68 crore.

The company has reported other income of Rs 20.07 crore (Rs 16.42 crore) which includes Rs 9.53 crore profit on sale of shares in Parrys Confectionery Ltd and Rs 12.25 crore from divestment of Netlon and General Marketing and Travels to Parry Engineering & Exports Ltd. The company has reported a growth in sales in all its business segments which include: Sugar Rs 100.21 crore (Rs 89.90 crore); Parryware Rs 48.56 crore (Rs 40.16 crore); bio-products Rs 2.13 crore (Rs 1.52 crore); and others Rs 23.24 crore (Rs 19.61 crore).
