MUMBAI: Colour-Chem reported a net profit of Rs 8.41 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2004, as against Rs 3.75 crore posted in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The board has recommended a dividend payout of 60 per cent for 2003-04, the same as last year.

An improvement in operational efficiencies and control of overhead and personnel costs helped the company post a profit before tax of Rs 13.32 crore, up from Rs 5.30 crore previously.

Sales turnover for the three months ended June 30, 2004, increased 10 per cent to Rs 109.30 crore (Rs 99.07 crore).
