Back Panel to study proposals of Law Commission

THE Ministry of Law and Justice has constituted a Committee on Arbitration, to study in depth the implications of the recommendations of the Law Commission of India contained in its 176th Report and the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2003.

According to an official communiqué, the Committee would study all aspects relating to the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2003 and submit its Report to the Government.

As part of the procedure adopted by the Committee, views and suggestions of the public have been invited on the implications of the recommendations of the Law Commission and on the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2003, particularly from the legal fraternity and all persons interested in the Law of Arbitration.
