Coir Board celebrates golden jubilee

KOCHI: Coir Board is celebrating its golden jubilee from August 11. The three-day celebrations at Central Coir Research Institute, Kalavoor, include workshops on coir processing, product diversification, modernisation and export prospects. The Union Minister for SSI, Mahabir Prasad, the Governor, R. L. Bhatia, the Chief Minister, A. K. Antony, and the Minister for Agriculture, K. R. Gouri Amma, will participate in the celebrations. An exhibition is also being organised on the occasion.
