Regularisation of casual labour services urged

HYDERABAD, AUG.13. P. Madhu, CPI (M) member of the Rajya Sabha, on Friday urged Suresh Pachouri, Union Minister of State for Personnel and Parliamentary Affairs, to regularise the services of casual labour engaged in the Central Government offices.

In a letter to the Minister, which was released here, the MP pointed out that a circular was issued before the Lok Sabha elections by the Central Excise and Customs Department banning engagement of casual labour directly by the department but to outsource through labour contractors.
