Support price for jute fixed

VIZIANAGARAM, AUG. 15. The Jute Corporation of India (JCI) has announced Rs.832 per quintal as the minimum support price for bottom grade bimli mesta for 2004-05 season.

The corporation is also opening 11 jute purchase centres to lift stocks, according to the Regional Manager of JCI, P. Ravi Brahmam.

The purchase centres would be located at Balijipeta, Bobbili, Gajapathinagaram, Parvathipuram, Cheepurupalli and Makkuva in Vizianagaram district and Amadalavalasa, Rajam, Ponduru, Hiramandalam and Kotabommali in Srikakulam district.
