Naidu `unhappy' over Government decision

HYDERABAD, AUG.15. The Telugu Desam president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, is said to have expressed dismay over the State Government's decision to prematurely release 1,050 prisoners, including 602 lifers, from various jails on the occasion of the Independence Day.

Mr. Naidu reportedly told partymen that the Government had not followed proper procedure in the prisoners' release. He also expressed fears that the freeing of some of them might lead to law and order problem.
