Partly cloudy

CHENNAI, AUG. 15. The sky will be partly cloudy on Monday with the possibility of light rain in some areas during evening or night.

On Sunday, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 37.4 and 37.6 degree Celsius and a minimum of 27.6 and 28 degree Celsius respectively.

The humidity recorded was 79 per cent and 75 per cent respectively and the rainfall recorded in Meenambakkam was .2 mm.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended between 9 a.m and 5 p.m. at Sowcarpet, Egmore, Vyasarpadi, Madhavaram, Kondithope, S.K.Nagar, Mandaveli, Korattur, Seven Wells, Royapettah and K.K.Nagar areas on Tuesday due to maintenance works.

Eye camp

Vision Care would conduct a free eye check-up camp for people 50 years at its centres in Adyar, Ashok Nagar, Chetpet and Saligramam on Monday from 10 a.m.

Savera Opticians, Nungambakkam and Kapaleshwar Optics in T.Nagar would also conduct similar camps.
