Back Aptech University plans to set up 50 more colleges Our Bureau
Chennai , Aug. 17 APTECH University plans to set up about 50 colleges across India and abroad in the next five years. The university, which was set up under the aegis of Aptech Education Society (part of the Aptech Ltd, an information technology training provider), would have franchisees running a number of these colleges, said Wing Commander (Retd.) Pratap Pradhan. The university currently has three colleges in Raipur (its headquarters) in Chhattisgarh, Mumbai and Chennai. In the next fiscal, the university would have about eight colleges, he told newspersons here today. Each college would require an investment of about Rs 2.5 crore, he said. According to Mr Pradhan, the university plans to accommodate about 2,500 students in the current year. Admissions are on and the classes would begin from September 15.
