Back CNN's 2nd Young Journalist Award Our Bureau
Mumbai , Aug. 17 CNN on Tuesday announced the second edition of CNN Young Journalist Award (CNN YJA), this time to include Pakistan with India. The competition is open to journalists between the ages of 22 and 26 years from electronic, online and print media. The winners will win a week's trip to CNN's headquarters in Atlanta. The runners-up will spend a similar period at the CNN Bureau in New Delhi and Islamabad. The last date for entries is October 15. The first CNN Young Journalist Award-India 2003 was awarded to NDTV 24X7's Siddharth Pandey in the TV Category and Business Today's Kushan Mitra in the Print/Online Category. Aaj Tak's Rahul Kanwal and zeenews.com's Shruti Gupta were the runners-up in the two categories, respectively. Siddhinath Vishwakarma, Sahara India Media and Entertainment, won a special prize in the TV category.
