VISAKHAPATNAM: The management of Synergies Dooray Automotive Ltd, a 100 per EOU in the Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone manufacturing aluminium alloy wheels, has criticised the strike notice served by the employees' union, which has threatened to go on strike from August 20 or anytime afterwards.

Objecting to the notice served by the CITU-affiliated Synergies Employees' Union, Mr P. Ravi Kumar, Manager (Personnel), said in a release on Monday that a wage agreement had already been signed and it was still in force. "Therefore, it is not proper for the union to serve a strike notice with a fresh charter of demands."

Claiming that the management was taking care of the needs of the workers well, he alleged that the union leaders were misleading the workers. "The strike threat is an attempt to get some dismissed workers reinstated.'' The management appealed to the workers not to be misled by the leaders.
