Back Kerala: Award for ayurveda doctors Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has decided to honour four prominent ayurveda practitioners on November 1, the day of the State's formation. An official spokesman said that the awards would be instituted in the names of Dhanwanthari, Charaka, Athreya and Vagbhata. The lifetime achievements and contributions of the would-be winners would be considered for selecting them for the ward. The Dhanwanthari Award carries a cash prize of Rs 10,001 and a citation, while the other three awards would carry cash prize of Rs 5,001 and a citation each, the spokesman added.
