Deterioration

Sir, — The attempt on the life of Sheikh Hasina, Leader of the Opposition in Bangladesh, growing attacks on the intelligentsia, presspersons, the minorities, etc., are sure signs of a rapid slide in the body politic of Bangladesh. It is unfortunate that violence should overtake it at a time when it is desperately looking for foreign investment.
