Oracle's offer for PeopleSoft

SAN FRANCISCO, AUG. 27. Business software maker Oracle Corp. said on Thursday that it extended again its $7.7 billion hostile tender offer for PeopleSoft Inc. to September 10, as it awaits a U.S. District Court judge's ruling on whether the takeover attempt could move forward. Oracle said in a statement that its previous offer was due to expire at midnight eastern time on Friday. As of the close of business on Thursday, about 22 million shares had been tendered in the offer. — Reuters
