Samkrg Pistons expansion plan

HYDERABAD: Samkrg Pistons and Rings, is taking up an expansion plan spread over the next two years involving an investment of Rs. 30 crores, according to S. D. M. Rao, Chairman and Managing Director. Addressing a press conference after the annual general meeting here on Monday, Mr. Rao said the capacity of pistons manufacturing facility would go up from 5 million to 6 million annually, and piston rings from 15 million to 25 million. Mr. Rao said the facilities would be capable of manufacturing pistons and rings for four wheelers also. While the company is not aggressively taking to car piston marketing, talks are on with Ford, and General Motors among others, he said.
