Back Demand to revoke suspension of KSCARDB employees

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Cooperative Employees Union affiliated to the CITU has demanded the withdrawal of suspension orders on five employees of the Kerala State Cooperative Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (KSCARDB).

The KSCARDB management had placed them under suspension for protesting against an Asian Development Bank team that had come to the bank for inspection. According to leaders of the union, the employees had protested since they feared that the inspection was part of a move to tinker with the functioning of the bank that had a larger base than even nationalised and commercial banks.
