Back MAHE twinning programme at Manipal

MANGALORE: The Vice-Consul of US Consulate, Chennai, Mr Franc Shelton, has said that nearly 10,000 student visa applications have been processed since April.

Speaking at the 11th twinning programme, organised by the International Centre for Applied Sciences (ICAS) of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), at Manipal in Udupi district on Tuesday, he said that students get an opportunity to study in some of the best US universities under the twinning programme.

The Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, Dr H.S. Ballal, who presided over the function, said that MAHE gives importance to quality of education. To keep with international standards in education, teachers of ICAS visit universities abroad and update the curriculum, he said.

The Director of Manipal Institute of Technology, Mr B.S. Prabhu, was also present.
