Back Malaysian team meets Kerala CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A nine-member delegation from the Malaysia-based Trans Resources Corporation held preliminary discussions with the Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, on the proposed marina to be built in Kochi, says an official press release.

The marina will be built by a joint venture between the Kerala Government and Trans Resources Corporation. Officials from Kerala's Department of Tourism, including the Tourism Secretary, Mr T. Balakrishnan, and the Tourism Director, Mr T.O. Sooraj, also participated in the discussions, the release adds.

The marina, which will involve an investment of over Rs 24 crore, will have berthing facilities for over 50 vessels of different specifications and will also take care of requirements such as water supply, drainage and bunkering, say tourism officials.
