CHENNAI, SEPT. 8. The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) yesterday submitted a charge sheet in the court of the Principal Sessions Judge against B. Ranganathan, Purasawalkam MLA, who, it said, possessed assets to the tune of Rs. 6.47 crores, "disproportionate to known sources of his income". Besides the legislator, another person, Nalini, has been cited as accused in the charge sheet. The charges are for offences under Sections 13(2) and 13(1)(e) of the Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 109 IPC (abetment).
