Through this initiative, ProEd will provide third and final-year engineering students 320 hours of training and education at their college premises, said Mr Naveen V., Managing Director. The company, which has launched similar programmes in Delhi, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram, said that it has 15-20 colleges participating in each State and would enrol about 1,500 students during the year. The programme's main purpose is to enable engineering graduates to meet this need without companies having to retrain them.
