Coal sector review

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 10. The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, today took an hour-long review meeting of the coal sector and directed officials of the Coal Ministry to expedite clearance of coal mine projects slated for the Tenth and Eleventh Plans. The Prime Minister also asked the Ministry officials to identify new projects to increase domestic coal production and take steps to improve the productivity of the public sector coal companies. — Our Special Correspondent
