Stolen property recovered

The Banjara Hills police have arrested a resident of Borabanda, Syed Mohsin, and recovered stolen property worth Rs. 2.5 lakhs from him. An ex-convict, Mohsin, was released from jail in March 2004 and since then he had committed several burglaries in the limits of various police stations in the West Zone, according to a press release.

Two held on theft charge

Two teenagers -- Kishore (16) and Manik Prabhu (17) - have been arrested by the Tappachabutra police on the charge of involvement in six thefts.

Murder mystery unravelled

The Tappachabutra police have unravelled the mystery behind the killing of a woman, Riyana Begum (19), with the arrest of a resident of Golconda, Ahmed Hussain.

Fatal fall

A two-and-half-a-year-old girl, Monica, died on Friday when she slipped and fell off a building in Karmanghat area. The girl was playing along with other children on the building when the mishap occurred. She sustained serious head injuries and died on way to Hospital.

Dies in mishap

A college student, T. Uday Kumar (19), died and another sustained injuries when the motorbike on which they were going hit against a divider on the road near Railway hospital in Osmania University police station area on Thursday.
