V.H.N.S.N. takes title

MADURAI, SEPT. 13. V.H.N.S.N. College, Virudhunagar took the title by defeating K.L.N. College of Information Technology, Pottapalayam by 47 runs in the final of the `Laagans' State-level inter-collegiate cricket tournament conducted by Sourashtra College here on Monday.

The scores (Final):

V.H.N.S.N. College 214 for five in 25 overs (B.Senthilkumar 83, Ashok 57 not out) bt K.L.N.College of Inforamtion Technology 167 for seven in 25 overs (Tirupathy 42 not out, Sumith 37).

Semi-finals: V.H.N.S.N. College 175 for nine in 20 overs (B.Senthilkumar 77, Palani 37, Suresh Pandian four for 26, Karthik three for 17) bt S.V.N.College, Nagamalai 66 in 15 overs (Prasanna five for 10); R.L.Institute of Management Studies 144 in 18.1 overs (Kelwin Joseph 72, Arun Gopinath 29, Manikandan four for 14) lost to K.L.N.College of Information Technology 145 for seven in 18.2 overs (Manikandan 37, Thirupathy 31 not out).
