Mphasis claims title

BANGALORE, SEPT.13. Mphasis defeated Hewlett Packard 8-7 in a closely contested final and claimed the Airtel Corporate 5s hockey championship here on Sunday. Ronald Deepak (5 goals) and Povanna (3) scored for Mphasis, while Gavin (6) and Japneet netted for HP.

In the Airtel Plate, Infosys Progeon beat Jet Airways 6-4.

In the Aitel Bowl event, Siemens edged past Motorola 7-5. In an all United Mission final, United Mission Degree College `A' beat its `B' team 10-8 in the inter-collegiate event final.

The championship concluded with an exhibition match between CEO s and Celebrities' teams.
