Double delight for Deepak

KOCHI, SEPT. 13. D. Deepak (NSS HSS, Tripunithura) won a double in the junior section of the YMCA Ernakulam South Branch's inter-school carrom tournament at Kadavanthra.

The YMCA president P. K. Joseph gave away the prizes.

Final placings:

Junior singles: 1. D. Deepak (NSS HSS, Tripunithura), 2. M. K. Arjun (Nalanda PS), 3. Akhil; Doubles: 1. D. Deepak/Akhil, 2. Arjun/Jose.

Sub-junior singles: 1. George Heinz (Nalanda PS), 2. P. M. Rajath, 3. Aghil Raj (both St. Mary's, Thevara); Doubles: 1. Akhil Prakash/Saneesh (St. Joseph's, Thrikakkara), 2. Waseem/Vishak Babu (Greets Academy, Kaloor).
