ANANTAPUR, SEPT. 14. Police searched the houses of the Penukonda MLA, Paritala Ravindra, and his relatives and supporters after he complained to the police that his Congress rivals were conspiring to blast their houses. The search went beyond midnight. However, no explosive material was found. Mr. Ravindra also complained that their neighbours were being threatened to vacate their houses warning that they would also suffer loss. He alleged that a police officer was behind the conspiracy. He asked his relatives and close followers to insure their houses and other properties. The TDP leader complained that they had information about a conspiracy to blast eight houses of party leaders including his. Accordingly, police conducted a search in the houses of Mr. Ravindra and his relatives, L. Narayana Chowdary and Keshanna.
