13-kg. gold crown for Lord Venkateswara

KANCHEEPURAM, SEPT. 20. The Kanchi Acharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, will present a 13-kg golden crown, studded with diamonds and other precious stones, for Lord Venkateswara, to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

The crown is being offered by devotees of the Kanchi Mutt to mark the completion of 50 years of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi's ascension to the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.

Talking to reporters here today, he said the crown would be presented on October 1.
