BANGALORE, SEPT. 20. Tata Motors on Monday launched its new vehicle Tata Indigo Marina in Bangalore. Talking to presspersons, Rajiv Dube, vice-president (commercial), Passenger Car Business Unit of Tata Motors, said the car brought together the premium feel and luxury of a sedan as well as the convenience of a multi-purpose vehicle. There were three models in petrol and two models in diesel in five colours, he said. In Bangalore, the ex-showroom price of the base petrol model with features such as manual steering and air-conditioning was Rs. 4.25 lakhs. The top-end petrol model is priced at Rs. 4.82 lakh. The base diesel version with heating and air-conditioning, power steering and body coloured bumpers features cost Rs. 4.83 lakhs, and the top-end diesel model Rs. 5.22 lakhs. Mr. Dube said the company had plans to sell an average of 300 cars a month. These cars were readily available in all the showrooms and there was no waiting period, he said.
