Back Srinivas Rao elected Kanara Chamber President

THE 63rd annual general meeting of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has unanimously elected Mr A. Srinivas Rao as the President of the chamber for 2004-05.

A KCCI press release said here on Wednesday that Mr Rao (36 years) is the youngest President of KCCI. He worked as Honorary Secretary during 1998-99 and Vice-President during 2003-04. Mr Rao is the Managing Partner of Hotel Srinivas in Mangalore. Capt John Prasad Menezes has been elected as Vice-President for 2004-05.

The other office-bearers are Mr Santosh D'Souza (Treasurer); Mr M. Padmanabha Kamat and Mr Aziz Ahmed (Honorary Secretaries); and Mr G. Vishwanath Kamat, Mr K. Surendra Prabhu, Mr Kalbavi Prakash Rao, Mr K. Narasimha Prabhu, Mr H. Ashok Shenoy, Mr M. Ahmed Bava, Mr M. Shekhara Pujari, Mr R.C. Rodrigues, Mr Vishwanath Kadri, Ms Latha R Kini, Mr K Jayaraj Pai and Mr Harish Kumar V.B. Patel (Committee members).
