HYDERABAD, SEPT. 22. Counselling for admission to engineering colleges scheduled to commence on September 23 has been postponed in the wake of the AP High Court's judgment striking down the 5 per cent reservation for Muslims. The revised schedule will be issued shortly, the Convenor, EAMCET - 2004, G. Anantha Ramu, announced here on Wednesday. He advised candidates invited for counselling from September 23 not to attend. The 5 per cent seats set apart for Muslims earlier will now be offered under open competition as per the revised schedule to be issued in a day or two. As many as 3,422 engineering seats, including 102 in Government colleges, were earmarked for Muslims.
