HYDERABAD, SEPT. 22. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti candidate for the Siddipet Assembly constituency and Minister for Youth Affairs, T. Harish Rao, filed his nomination papers amid fanfare and massive turnout of party workers in Siddipet town in Medak district on Wednesday. The divisional headquarters town turned pink with the TRS cadre taking out a rally prior to the nomination process. The TRS chief, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, along with his Cabinet colleague, A. Narendra, and State Ministers -- S. Santosh Reddy, A. Chandrasekhar, G. Vijayarama Rao, Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Rajeswara Rao (all TRS), J. Geeta Reddy and Md. Fareeduddin (both Congress), the Rajya Sabha member, Nandi Yellaiah, Siddipet MP, Sarve Satyanarayana, and the chiefs of Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Medak Zilla Parishad, participated in the rally. The Siddipet by-election was necessitated following the resignation of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao on his election to the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat.
