Chetan, Jwala advance

SIVAKASI, SEPT. 22. Top-seeded Chetan Anand of Petroleum Sports Promotion Board defeated K.R. Shiva Kumar of Tamil Nadu 15-3, 15-4 in the men's singles on the opening day of the State Bank of India all-India senior ranking prize money badminton tournament at the A.J. Stadium here on Wednesday.

In the women's section, Jwala Gutta (AP) beat Baswat Talukdar (Assam) 11-2, 11-4.
