Symbol of pride

Sir, — I refer to the editorial, "Rules for the Flag" (Sept. 21). The Tricolour is a national symbol and the display of it should not be restricted. I agree that disrespect to the flag should be dealt with but in most of the cases, people do not use the flag with an intention to disrespect it. They use it to show allegiance to India.
