CHENNAI, SEPT. 26. The former Prime Minister, V.P.Singh, today said the private sector should shoulder social responsibility by implementing reservation for the backward classes (BC) and Scheduled Castes (SC). Shortly after meeting the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president, M. Karunanidhi, at his residence here, he said care must be taken to ensure that the selected candidates were internationally competitive. A balance could be struck between reservation and skill by imparting proper training to the candidates.
