Back Kerala imposes luxury tax on houseboats

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has issued a notification bringing houseboats under the luxury tax regime.

The notification stipulated that all houseboats offering stay and luxury cruise facilities should register themselves with the appropriate authority and renew their registrations every year. The notification has been issued as an extraordinary gazette bearing No 1840 dated August 24, the spokesman added.
