Back VSP certification extended

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has been recertified to ISO-14001 (environmental management systems) for another three years.

Originally, the plant was given the certification in 2001. The certificate was presented by Mr Prasad Panicker, of the Bureau Veritas Quality International (India), to Mr B.K. Panda, the Chairman and Managing Director, at a function here on Monday. On the occasion, Mr K.K. Rao, Director, Operations, released the Environmental Report 2003-2004. The environmental portal was also launched through Intranet by Mr K. Ayyappa Naidu, the Executive Director, Works.
