Back Chidambaram for Fund-Bank meet

THE Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, would be leaving for Washington D.C. on Thursday to attend annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

During the visit, Mr Chidambaram would also attend meetings of the International Monetary and Financial Committee and the Development Committee on October 2 and 3.

The Finance Minister will also participate in Ministers meeting of G24 on October 1. His schedule would also include bilateral meetings with Finance Ministers of USA, Germany, France, Brazil, Israel, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.

Mr Chidambaram is scheduled to participate in India Investment Forum in New York on October 6 and in an investment meet in London on October 8.
