BANGALORE, SEPT. 29. Twenty-five officials of the Transport Department are participating in a three-day orientation programme, which began at the Karnataka Judicial Academy here on Wednesday. The Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, Nagendra Kumar Jain, inaugurated the programme. B.L. Sridhar, Principal Secretary (Transport), who was the chief guest, said the orientation programme gave an opportunity to the officials who had quasi-judicial powers, an opportunity to clear doubts on the Motor Vehicle Act and the Motor Vehicle Taxation Act. The Transport Commissioner, Om Prakash, welcomed the gathering, and the Joint Commissioner (Air Pollution), R.V. D'Souza, proposed a vote of thanks.
